The majority of enterprises is trapped in the rats' race: competition.
Only few enterprises can boast a sur-petition status.

Competing is joining everybody's race. Sur-peting means creating own racing track.

World-class enterprises know the importance of sur-peting. Sur-petition, even temporary, brings two distinct advantages:

  • Beating competitors, possibly only for a limited period of time, carries an economical benefit and an "Image/Reputation gain" benefit.
    This a practical, material benefit.
  • There is also an immaterial, but possibly more valuable benefit. Achieving a result of this nature implies not only efforts, but also cultural power.
    People capable of outclassing their enterprise's competitors are a special breed of people. Through their creative efforts and abilities, and also through the deployment of excellent principles and strategies, they have created a unique - even if temporary - racing track.
    The experience gained during that process is invaluable: successful people of this kind will be successful again.

Competition may fill the gap rapidly. But champions will win again, another time and another time....
